Sign-ups now are open for our annual Match Play tournament.  Thanks to all of you who already contacted me expressing an interest in signing up for this popular event.  This year, we are making the sign-up process more convenient (we hope) through the use of the “playing” and “not playing” buttons below.  These are the same buttons we use to sign up for our regular tournaments.  For those who would like to sign up, simply click the “playing” button below and we’ll take it from there.  No need to click “not playing” if you don’t intend to play.  Sign-ups close on May 31, 2023, so please make sure you sign up well in advance to avoid missing out!  We’ll send reminder emails throughout the month.

 

The prize fund contribution (entry fee) for this event is $30.00, to be paid in cash prior to your first match.  Depending on the number of entries (maximum 64 players), we will set up brackets accordingly.  We will continue to split the field into “high” and “low” handicap brackets to the extent possible, depending on the number of entries received.  More details to follow, but players schedule all their own all matches, 9 holes to start, 18 holes for semi-final/final matches, played under USGA match play rules (and Eaton Canyon local rules where applicable).  Use course handicap on day of play (from proper tees, men blue, women red) as shown on the SCGA GHIN app to determine strokes/pops given/received.  Single elimination as always.  Report match result with photo of scorecard signed by both players in person or via text immediately after your match concludes.  Post your own scores (even if putts/holes/match conceded) either by playing out or using your “most likely score” for each concession.  Players pay for their own greens fees and cart (optional) for each match.  All decisions of the tournament director/committee are final.

This is a 2 in 1 tournament (for most of us).

 

We will have a plain run of the mill FULL FLIGHT TOURNAMENT for anyone that wants to play.

In addition will have the SENIOR FULL FLIGHT tournament for anyone over the age of 50.

 

If you are over the age of 50 (no proof required) you can choose to play in both events.

You actually only play one round, but you get to sign up for both. 

(Seniors may decide if they want to play in either Full or Senior or Both.)

 

Cost $60 for one round and $85 if you are playing in both the full/senior.
